Board of Trustees
The Big Pine Cemetery District Board of Trustees is appointed by the Inyo County Board of Supervisors to oversee the operation, care, and improvement of Crocker and Woodman Cemeteries.
Through responsible budgeting, planning, and stewardship, the Board helps ensure that resources are used effectively to maintain the grounds, support needed improvements, and preserve these historic community spaces. Their work helps protect the cemeteries’ character and significance while ensuring they continue to serve Big Pine for generations to come.

Our team takes pride in caring for Crocker and Woodman Cemeteries and keeping the grounds welcoming, respectful, and ready for memorial services, community events, and everyday visitors.
From maintaining the landscape and burial areas to preparing for gatherings and special occasions, our work is guided by respect for those laid to rest here and for the families and community members who visit them. Our goal is to preserve peaceful surroundings where people can remember, reflect, and remain connected to Big Pine’s history.

Volunteers
Volunteers are an important part of preserving the history and character of Big Pine’s cemeteries. From placing flags on veterans’ graves for Memorial Day and caring for memorials to researching burial records, photographs, obituaries, and family histories, their efforts help keep the stories of our community alive.
By sharing their time, knowledge, and skills, volunteers help us honor those who came before us, improve the accuracy of our records, and preserve this important part of Big Pine’s heritage for future generations.
